Input from our RNs and RPNs is valuable to your SUN/PNRHA Retention and Recruitment Committee. We've heard that professional development, staffing workload, better communication, accessible management, and a respectful workplace are priorities in the workplace to help retain and recruit staff. Ideas for short term initiatives that relate to improving your ability to provide patient and family centred care are also appropriate.
Your health region has $412,583 from the government partnership for management and union to work together to develop and implement initiatives to help retain and recruit nursing staff. What are your ideas for initiatives to support any of the above priorities? We want to hear from you!
