Acute Care

PNHR operates two Regional hospitals – Battlefords Union and Lloydminster; one District hospital – Northwest Health Facility in Meadow Lake; two Community hospitals with attached special care homes – Maidstone Health Complex in Maidstone and Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford. Prairie North maintains a broad spectrum of acute care services for its Regional, District and Community hospitals, as set out in The Action Plan for Saskatchewan Health Care December 2001. Services include ambulatory care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, emergency, medical, surgical, and obstetrical care, among others.
